About Me

During the course of my academic career, I have accrued nearly five years of work experience. In my free time, I worked for Rock Spring Elementary as a permanent substitute teacher, where I learned valuable professional skills such as classroom management, adaptive teaching methods, and conflict resolution. Additionally, I have been placed in multiple long-term sub positions offering experience in various educational positions. For example, in a 6-month-long experience subbing in a 2nd-grade classroom, I familiarized myself with the lesson plans and student levels. Experience such as this increased my organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, which I hope to leverage in your school. After working multiple years in the education system, I can say it is where I am meant to be; I love working with children of all ages and desire this as a career. My longterm goal as an English major is to obtain a highschool English teaching position within a shool where I can continue to learn and grow professionally. However, I am open to other positions within the education sphere, including other classroom teaching availabilities, ESOL, EIP, and media.
